Getting The Right Pirate Telescope

I think our fascination with pilots can be traced back to our childhood. We all heard stories about the infamous Red Beard and Black Beard and their adventures in the ocean. Then we had Peter Pan and the every so popular antagonist Captain Hook to look towards. A lot of children end up developing their love for the sea or boats this way. Hence why we always see at least one child dressed up as a pirate in every Halloween or costume party. So, it is safe to say that we all have a soft spot for becoming sailors, looking through our telescopes out on the ocean. Regardless of whether you want to get a pirate scope as a decoration piece, to add to an outfit or for actual use, you want to make sure that you get the right one for yourself.

First of all, if you are looking to get a decent pirate telescope, it is important to remember that it is not going to come across cheap, unless you’re okay with a bad quality or a mediocre telescope at best. Next, you need to determine what material you want your telescope to be; this can range from wooden to different types of metals and the pricier the metal you choose, the more expensive the telescope is going to be. Each material has its own advantages and takebacks, so look for more details to make an informed decision.

Telescopes have a field of view and then a magnification option, both of which happen to have an inverse relationship with each other. For example, if you want better magnification, you have to compromise on your field of view and vice versa. Some telescopes have features that allow both features to be equalized, however they happen to be more expensive.
