What Not To Do After Exercise

We focus so much on what we should do before exercising that we tend to forget that there are a number of things we should avoid after exercising as well. Once you are done with your workout routine, there are two things that you should avoid at any cost if you want to stay as healthy as possible.

To start off with, don’t drink water right after you are done with a workout routine. You would feel parched for sure, but while you are out of breath drinking water can be detrimental to your health because you might end up choking on it, or on the other side of the coin you might not be able to catch your breath as quickly as if you just let yourself sit down and breathe. Additionally, if you are exhausted right after a workout routine you might end up drinking too much water which can make you feel uncomfortable and bloated. Just wait five minutes after you are done and then drink water, it really is worth it.

The second thing that you should avoid at all costs is taking a shower right after you are done exercising. When you work out your body temperature rises quite a bit. Showering can result in a sudden drop in that body temperature which can be really dangerous for your health because your body would not be able to handle this sudden change and you might end up falling seriously ill.
