What to Look For When Renting a Large Excavator?

Working in the industry can be a really tough business to be in. From competing to keeping track of the performance of your workers and meeting all the legal requirements as well as managing your clients, it can be a really hectic job. Getting machinery for your projects can also be a hard job and choosing the right and the best quality equipment is not always easy. Here is what you should try and look for in a large excavator, should you need to rent one:

Maximum Digging
Depending on the surface you want to dig and how deep you want your excavator to go, you should definitely look for an excavator’s maximum digging length as well as the maximum digging force. Usually, anything around the average of5m of digging depth and 40kN of digging force is considered good.

The Source of Power
For the engine, since these are heavy duty machinery, you should not go much below 40HP and anything from that until the range of 90HP should be good enough, depending on your usage.

Maximum Bucket Capacity
Now, this specification right here can be quite subjective to needs. Of course, the bigger the volume of the basket, the quicker will be the rate of excavation. However, depending on what size you would want the dig to fit through and how wide should it be, some people could go to choose for a smaller size, maybe for precision as well.

Swing Speed And Force
This aspect is also a good one to consider. Whether you want to have a swing mechanism with a speed of 10 rpm and a crowd force of over 4,000 kgf or more is totally up to you.

So before you rent a large excavator, make sure you make a checklist of your basic needs.
